Petrified Wood Sinks
Our petrified wood bathroom sinks (also known as fossilized wood) are each cut from a real petrified wood log, each sink is a one of a kind stunning and functional work of art. They have been individually photographed and numbered, after purchase their image will be deleted. If you would like to purchase two sinks that are similar, look for Item #’s that end with A, B, C, etc. as these were cut from the same log.
Petrified wood starts as a real tree, typically growing near a volcano, after a major eruption the trees are buried in ash and dirt, through natures own work underground water will gradually convert the wood to stone, this process may take 5 million years or more. The stone hardness and color will vary according to many different factors, some of which include the species of tree, the surrounding type of soil, and the mineral water. Each log is carefully selected for its hardness (which must be similar to granite), and its color, thus insuring that you only get the very best quality.
